The member dashboard is the first page users see when they log in. It's fully customizable through a widget system, allowing you to control exactly what information and actions are presented to your members.
Customizing the Dashboard
To customize the dashboard, log in to your account and click the Edit Member Dashboard button at the bottom of the homepage. This opens the portal editor where you can:
- Add widgets — choose from the available widget library
- Reorder widgets — drag or reorder to arrange the layout
- Edit widgets — most widgets have additional configuration options to control what's displayed
- Remove widgets — delete widgets you don't need
Changes are reflected immediately for all members.
Available Widgets
Membership
- Membership status — shows the member's current membership level, status, and renewal date. For non-members, displays available membership levels as an upsell to encourage sign-up.
- Billing summary — shows billing details for members with active Stripe subscriptions, with a link to the billing portal.
Events
- Events summary — shows the member's upcoming registered events and total upcoming events count.
- Upcoming events — a detailed list showing the member's registered events and featured events they haven't registered for.
- Recent events list — a configurable widget showing 1–4 upcoming events. You can choose how many events to display.
- Featured event — highlights a specific event or automatically shows the most recent one. Choose a specific event from the dropdown or let it update automatically.
Courses
- Courses summary — shows the member's active course enrollments and total available courses.
Resources
- Resources summary — shows counts of available public and member-only resources.
- Resource highlights — displays the latest public resources and, for members, the latest member-only resources.
Announcements
- Announcements summary — shows total published announcements and the member's unread count.
- Featured announcement — display a specific announcement or automatically show the most recent one. Includes title, publish date, preview text, and a "Read More" link.
Member Directory
- Directory summary — shows the total number of members in the directory and the current user's profile status, with quick links to browse the directory or manage their entry.
Account
- Quick actions — shortcuts to common actions.
- Profile completion — guides members through completing their profile information.
Widget Configuration
Most widgets have additional configuration options that let you tailor what's shown. For example:
- The featured event widget lets you pick a specific event or default to the most recent
- The featured announcement widget lets you choose a specific announcement or the latest
- The recent events list widget lets you set how many events to display (1–4)
Configuration options are available when adding or editing a widget.
How It Works
Widgets are registered by each feature of the platform (events, courses, membership, etc.). When you add a widget to the dashboard, it pulls live data — upcoming events, membership status, recent resources — so the dashboard is always current. Widgets from disabled features are automatically hidden.
